Inspiration

Silver Ceremony is conceived in resonance with the precious radiance of sequins. At the top, bergamot, green mandarin, and lemon illuminate the fragrance as light strikes metal, sparkling with a crystalline, vibrant, almost icy freshness, heightened by the spicy brilliance of ginger and pink pepper. In the base, woody notes unfold, dominated by cedar, set with patchouli and oud, and faceted with the amber nuances of labdanum. A textured creation, rich in energy and vibration, where freshness accentuates depth and warmth anchors luminosity. Constructed like an architectural masterpiece in which movement and stillness coexist, it is at once solid and fluid. Like a luminous, shimmering, ethereal garment, Silver Ceremony reveals itself as a fragrance with an electric, magnetic, incisive, and radiant signature. In the 1960s, when Paco Rabanne was celebrated as a metallurgist, he boldly wove metal into his creations, sculpting dresses with the precision of an architect. Thierry Mugler conjured robotized silhouettes, evoking a visionary, almost cosmic futurism. As for sequins, with their meticulous artisanal craftsmanship, they endure as a luminous and precious signature of Haute Couture, illuminating the most sophisticated ensembles with a radiant brilliance.

I wanted to capture the hypnotic beauty of light in motion: that instant when silver sequins catch the glow and seem to come alive. Silver Ceremony was born from this fascination with reflection, with the dialogue between metal and skin, brightness and texture. I thought about how sequins enhance a silhouette, how every movement transforms into a play of light, revealing strength and elegance at once. At BDK Parfums, every fragrance is born from a close collaboration between David Benedek's vision and the expertise of acclaimed perfumers. This collection was developed with Givaudan and perfumer Jordi Fernández, through a constant dialogue guided by a shared commitment: the absolute quality of raw materials, chosen for what they are and for what they bring to the composition.

Each ingredient is selected with care for its origin, the precision of its extraction, and the role it plays within the fragrance. This work is collective and meticulous — it brings together perfumers and producers in a precise balance, where nothing is superfluous and every material contributes to a single emotion. Particular attention is paid to the provenance of each ingredient, chosen for its singularity and sensory richness, as so many gestures that speak of a genuine and never merely decorative attention to craft.

At the heart of this collection, woods hold a central and defining place. Jordi Fernández makes them one of the pillars of his olfactory signature: "I chose woods because they embody texture and structure in perfumery, much as fabrics do in fashion. On a more personal level, I regard woods as a symbol of elegance — and they are very much a part of my signature."

GREEN MANDARIN ESSENCE FROM ITALY ORPUR™ : Cultivated in Italy, in the Calabria region, the mandarin is harvested at an early stage of ripeness, which gives it its green color with yellow highlights. Its extract provides a refreshing and tangy note, enhanced by delicate hints of neroli.
LEMON ESSENCE FROM ITALY ORPUR™ : Sourced from lemon trees grown in the sunny orchards of Italy, this lemon essential oil is cold-extracted before undergoing molecular distillation to reveal a powerful lemon perfume that brings a sparkling and tangy top note to the fragrance.
GINGER CO₂ EXTRACT : The CO₂ extracted ginger reveals the full richness of the rhizome, with its citrusy, fresh spicy, and resinous facets. Supercritical CO₂ extraction gives the ginger a vibrant, energetic, and lively character that permeates the entire fragrance.
PINK PEPPER CO₂ EXTRACT FROM INDIAN OCEAN ORPUR™ : Originating from the Indian Ocean and obtained via supercritical CO₂ extraction, pink pepper contributes a lively, peppery, and spicy top note. Evocative of chili, combined with a touch of lime zest, it develops resinous and balsamic facets reminiscent of elemi gum.
CEDARWOOD ESSENCE FROM MOROCCO ORPUR™ : In Morocco, Atlas cedar is regarded as a national treasure. Its essential oil offers a rich, sophisticated woody note, a soft fragrance imbued with animalic and resinous nuances.
